Praise God (sort of)
27 August 2004 by Bob Explosion victims praise God for life
Four of the five workers who were seriously injured in an explosion on an off-shore Petrotrin/Trinmar platform were yesterday praising the Almighty they survived the ordeal.
Yes, Praise God!
However, the outlook for the fifth victim Kenneth Merrique is not so good as he underwent emergency surgery yesterday, and is reported to be in a coma. Merrique, 55, suffered serious head injuries during the explosion on the Trinmar off-shore platform on Wednesday morning at Block Station 16 (North) in the Soldado Field off the Gulf of Paria.[...] Anthony, who suffered spinal injuries, added that he saw Merrique lying unconscious on the ground with a gaping wound to his head.
Yeah, whatever, blah-blah-blah. Still, Praise God!

please remove this article about my deceased father from this website. My father and his children loved God and we will continue to love God. This is not a joke. I find the article being placed on this website offensive.

Though I highly doubt you have anything to do with this guy, if you don’t read this website, then you won’t be offended. Make sense?

What really bothers me is the fact that I am browsing google in search of information about my father, and I happen to see his story on your page. I have no intention of reading you website. I simply don’t want his death associated with it!I know what you stand for, and your beliefs. We are free to believe in whatever we want, You have made your choice and I have made mine, but in truth, that was my father. Please respect my father’s life. If you choose not to remove this story, you are heartless. If you are still in DOUBT, and not scared of being proven wrong about who I am to Kenneth Merrique….call me at 863-676-5807. Hopefully I might hear from you, if you call!

Leah, don’t you know you should never, ever post your personal information/identification/phone number/address openly on the internet? As a mother who raised three kids, I will tell you it is not a smart thing to do no matter who you are.
I am sorry for the loss of your father, but his was a public story and open for public debate and discussion. There is nothing derogatory written about your father here. The story was used to make a point how people praise the “Almighty” for saving their lives while ignoring the fact and making up reasons why god didn’t save one more person. You go ahead and believe your delusions if you wish..and if you don’t like what you see here or the fact that we are atheists talking about this public story, then as Marcus stated above…don’t obsessively come back here.
