How does one perform a “google bomb” ????

A typically in-depth and fascinating story on the whole “theory” of ID from The New Yorker. To me, the entire thing is just another layer of some otherwise complicated people trying to squeeze reality into their deep fear of death and the unknown. Some of the creators of ID actually seem like intelligent people, but to me it is like all those Star Trek episodes where a backwards religious culture is exposed to the idea that there is something beyond their planet and their simple views. There is always the extremely persuasive demagogue — clever but reactionary as hell (because he/she fears the said unknown) — who tries to pull them back into the darkness of fear and superstition.
At that point, Picard, Kirk, Janeway or Sisko violate the Prime Directive and take somebody up to the mother ship to show them the wide wonder of the universe through the eyes of science. In the end, secularism wins, because, as Carl Sagan always said, getting to know the real universe is ultimately far more beautiful and awe-inspiring than anything the mind of man could invent. Despite the slips toward fundamentalism in this demon-haunted world, I have to believe we will evolve our thinking and move forward somehow.
Please - no one should use “W” or “Bush” in the same sentence as the word “intelligent” or “intelligence,” no matter what the context. It just isn’t right.

Actually, I think Bush refused to comment on Intelligent Design (he has probably only barely heard of it). Instead, he thought that kids should be taught “creationism” which is what Intelligent Design people have been trying to distance themselves from because the courts have already ruled that creationism is a sectarian religious doctrine and teaching it violates the constitution. Intelligent Design movementarians are still counting it as a win for them though.
Yeah, hard to believe Idiot Shrub Boy could even begin to grasp a philosophical concept as complex as Intelligent Design. Not to say “Intelligent Design” is at all intelligent, but we have to remember this is coming from the man who said this. Slightly off topic however revealing and profound to be sure. Early this month the Stardust probe made re-entry and landed safely in utah. It was recovered intact with the payload unexposed and uncontaminated. The cargo contained is bits of dust and gas from a comet from the kyper belt. the craft rendevoused at roughly 3.75km from earth. IMHO visionaries looking for exotic unknown elements will be dissapointed. Most likely the brekdown will be common material (iron silica hydrogen nitrogen water nickel etc. Icant predict the ratio of one element to others.
The underlying significance of the analysis is that the material will be hum-drum common stuff we have here on earth. Up close analysis of all the bodies in our system that have been measured have revealed one underlying and telling fact. Meteors, the inner rocky planets the gas giants are composed of the same common elements. The difference between earth and jupiter is mass and composition ratio.
What this means to thinkers (ie. not foaming fundies) is that the earth is not speacial, a godly gift, or even particularly stable. T
Analysis of the cometary material will reveal what was blown out beyond our planetary system which may reveal more detail about the what and why of the arrangement of planetary position and orbit but not much else. Ours and every other planet in the sun’s system is in part (possibly highly comprised of cometary material.

IMHO we will be battling intelligent design or some revamped for of creationism in this country for many yaers to come. The average joe is ignorant of all natural processes: biology, cosmology, geology and every other ology i know and love. The K-12 education in the US is the poorest in the developed world. The dolts out there who scraped by and the all too numerous drop-outs in cheebusland are too stupid to comprehend what is actully going on and all too eager to eat up the fantisyland shit the preachers are pushin’.

It can change how (and if) you grow and age. It can create birth defects, affect cellular development (cancer) and cause symptoms or pain. It can affect people and animal’s behavior and alter blooming/fruiting cycles of plants and trees. It (or other highly technological systems within their power) can alter the weather and transport objects, even large objects like planets, across the universe instanteously.

They gods (Counsel/Management Team/ruling species) have deteriorated life on earth precipitously in the last 40 years, from abortion to pornography, widespread drug use and widespread casual (gay) sex. Men ARE the inferior half and when women wear promiscuous dress the gods will push men into impure (promiscuous) thoughts.

Pray that you can differentiate between your own thoughts and when Artificial Intelligence creates problems by thinking through you. Create a goal::to be a good child of the gods, pure of heart and mind, body and soul.
Everybody has the key to their own salvation, but nobody can do it for you. Every journey begins with a single step:::bow down and submit to good. There are many different levels and peasants will not get past Level 2 (Planet Temptation, Earth=Level 1) being evil.

I am afraid people are decieved into thinking they too are clones and cooperate and engage in evil. Clones are made, people are born. If you didn’t experience the one week they suggest it takes to go from fertilized egg in the laboratory to full grown adult then you are not a clone. If you didn’t experience the week of conditioning they give to (evil?) clones to ensure loyalty then you shouldn’t comply with evil.
I believe people who go sometimes are replaced with clones. Clones who are replaced are simply new candidates who have a chance if they do the right thing. Don’t expect you are a clone. They sent people warnings in the 20th century life would change, and they subsequenlty began to alter people’s DNA, make them gargantuan, alter their appearance, do extreme behavioral issues, etc.

Perhaps they didn’t like him or maybe your family was among those who had to pay for the entire village.
