A Feast for the Brain Cells – Now 99% Troll-free!
9 March 2006 by Lya KahloNow that this blog is sans trolls (hooray!), and we can focus on the meat of debate rather than being derailed by whackadoos and psychos, I thought I’d give quick post highlighting some posts to other blogs (mostly atheist) that I found interesting.
Enjoy the feast! Great New Flavor, Great New Package! No trans-fats! Now, completely hocus-pocus free!
Fyfe’s Atheist Ethicist is always an interesting read but a few recent articles caught my attention. They are: “The Atheist Materialist Scientist” and “The Unimportance of Belief in God”.
Thoughts From A Sandwich posted an article on a similar subject called “Eeny Meeny Miny Mo”.
Lofton’s Debunking Xianity also has two interesting ones:
“A Corrupt and Scandalous Faith” and the fantastic “Questions Your Pastor will Hate”. (be sure to check out the comments on that one. Tribalogue!! *LOL*)
Brian Flemming’s Blog listed this hilarious link – A Flock of Dodos A new documentary about Evolution vs IDiocy.
Freethought Weekly has one called “got PRopaganda?”. A look at the history and use of propaganda in the media.
Kill the Afterlife’s “Lent, Abstinence, and You” An examination of the Xian practice of “value-repression”.
Neutopia’s “Altruism is Hard-wired” A take on the Yahoo! News article Study Shows Babies Try to Help
Meet an Atheist has one that nicely compliments the “Religion is War Against Women” post here called “Fetus Worship”.
Unscrewing The Inscrutable has an article in the same vein The Imaginary Conception
Tennessee Guerilla Women is a good resource for news and commentary on the Forced Pregnancy Agenda and the War Against Women by the current pretend-Prez and the Religious Wrong.
Pharyngula by PZ Myers is one of my favorites. Can’t wait to see the debate with Fred Hutchinson a writer for Alan Keyes’ Renew America site. “Renew America” is, of course, just right-winger doublespeak for “Destroy America”.
Last but not least I’ve got to give a shout out to Godless Wonder which has some of the funniest graphics I’ve ever seen. Also, it has a delicious list of quotes from fellow atheists. And another shout out to Jesus’s General who’s tagline is “An 11 on the Manly Scale of Absolute Gender”. Excellent satire.
And people think we’re sarcastic and nasty! These blogs blow us out of the water! (in a hilarious way).

Fantastic reads, Lya. I especially like Pharyngula (maybe because they linked to my condom quest story) and the Guerilla Women blog because I’ve noticed that female rights have been shit on in the last couple of years. Case in point- some radio and political personalities have claimed that the girl raped and murdered in NY recently was PARTIALLY TO BLAME. How’s that for horseshit?
In other news-
Like I said before, I regularly read the Cluckin’ Chicken’s blog so I can get fuel for ripping her and that dude she keeps deleting posted another comment. I followed his link and HOLY CRAP, check out this guy’s blog
Nothing much there yet, but I’m game to check back at the end of the month.

I don’t recall ever seeing her blog, but I find the irony of her deleting posts on her own blog to be mmmm-mmmm-good.

Once again, Lya, you broke the bank. Excellent post.
This one killed me in that “Pastor Questions” file:

Lya: This is her blog: http://sablechicken.blogspot.com/
I just posted a comment, let’s see if it gets deleted. Her post:
Picture of God
There was a class room full of kids painting pictures.
As the teacher walked around the room she stopped at the desk of one little girl.
“What are you painting?” asked the teacher.
“I’m making a picture of God.” answered the little girl.
The teacher replied back, “No one knows what God looks like.”
The little girl said, “Well, you will find out in a minute.”
My comment:
So what happened next? Did the little girl shoot the teacher and send her to see god?

Lyah, I see your comments all over these blogs. How do you keep up? I barely have time to keep up with this one.
Thanks for all the good lynx.

“So what happened next?”
- God orders his earthly minions to stone the little girl to death for making an idol.
- Zeus zaps the little girl with lightnin for drawing the wrong deity.
- Nothing. She didn’t draw him with a turban.

She drew a blank page.

“How do you keep up?”
Honestly, I have no idea. But I do visit each blog on my blogroll nearly everyday.
