Xian Terrorism, Inc.

30 December 2007 by Bob

Well, it seems we have the same events going on once more, and a complete lack of skill in properly characterizing any of them.

For the proper characterizations, see previous posts by Ron here and here.

This particular article (and I’m sure any other link to these stories) contains no characterization anywhere of “Christian Terrorist.” And it clearly should, since that’s what it is.

If you think that label is incorrect (and you xian idiots know who I’m talking about), read Eric Rudolph’s statement and get back to me.

I read the article, and noticed this little statement- Ms. Dolce (director of Right to Life Committee) said: “We never encourage violence of any nature. After all, there’s enough violence going on in these clinics.”

What a bitch. I believe there’s a big fucking difference between arson and a perfectly legal medical procedure. (On a side note, there’s a wonderful episode of the Sarah Silverman Program which has to do with psychos bombing abortion clinics. You should totally watch it if you get the chance.)

All these obsessively pro-life people are pissing me off. Whenever I drive to Des Moines, I keep noticing that all these obnoxious pro-life billboards keep springing up. The one that really irritates me is pink, and has a big picture of a cute little baby on it, along with a caption that says, “What! Embryos are babies!”

I kinda wish that they’d put up an image of an embryo right next to the picture of the baby. My guess is that most people would be able to realize that the embryo and the baby do in fact, look quite different…

Bob, you have a new tag!

I noticed that line in the article too. I had to go back and reread it a few times. I thought I had skipped over a line or something, but nope.

Whaddaya want to bet Ms Right to Life Dolce supports the war?

And Bob, even though I didn’t think you were incorrect, I read Rudolph’s statement. Found interesting the part that maintained the gov’t wanted to make the deal with him because it was afraid it couldn’t find a jury that would convict someone for killing baby murderers.

What aggravates the fuck out of me about these psychopathic antichoice bozos is their insistence on the false dichotomy that portrays those on this side of the argument as pro abortion, that paints women who make that devastating decision, the decision to have an abortion, as using it gleefully and often as slightly more involved birth control.

Obviously, as a man, there are certain things I can never fully understand and I can’t claim to know exactly what a woman in that position feels. But I’ve certainly seen the toll it takes, both physically and psychologically on several women I’ve known well and on those I’ve encountered doing escort work at a couple different clinics. At no point have I witnessed anything less than an obvious realization of the seriousness of the situation.

I’m pro-choice because I feel like the option needs to be there for women, even as I wish no one ever had to exercise it. Ultimately, it’s a lifeline to a woman who might otherwise be subjugated into a life as a broodmare- like our friend Dani(did anyone think to ask where she was on the nights in question?). No one I’ve ever encountered in the activist community sees it as any different.

If the godtards on the picket lines really wanted to end abortion, they’d get the sticks out of their collective and individual asses and ante up for realistic and relevant sex education in our schools. Then, they’d line up to take in the thousands of unwanted children being born. You know, the ones that don’t quite match their skin color, or are disabled, born addicted, sick, fetal alcohol syndrome. Hypocritical bastards.

    Hey, thanks…

I finally got something for the holiday season that I can actually use

Thank you! Finally, a man with some sense! :)

Pro-lifers piss me off. But male pro-lifers really, really piss me off. I get so angry when I hear the Presidential candidates talking about the sanctity of life.

Men can’t get pregnant. They don’t know what it’s like to be pregnant. I get really upset when men sit around and claim that abortion is just totally wrong.

It would be like me saying that getting a vasectomy or being circumsized is evil. I don’t have a dick, so I don’t fucking know! I want all these men to realize that they’re in the same position. They can’t get pregnant, they don’t know what it’s like, and they won’t ever know what it’s like. Thus, they have no right to say what a woman should or shouldn’t do.

Like you said, Raindogzilla, abortion is kind of an unpleasant reality. I also think it would be wonderful if no one would ever have to have an abortion. To be perfectly honest, if I was ever put in that situation, I don’t know if I would be able to have an abortion. But I still think the option should be available. We should be pushing birth control more, so that abortion isn’t necessary.

Emotion-laden words and deliberate misrepresentation of those who disagree is a traditional technique for these people. It’s what Jesus would do, right? Their position can’t withstand facts, so this is all they have to go with.

  8. Fritzy:

“Christian Terrorist” does seem an apt moniker for these folks. Plain and simple, they are self-professed Christian who are engaging in violent, even deadly acts, in the name of their xtian faith. Why is there any doubt about the appropriateness of this label?

“Ms. Dolce (director of Right to Life Committee) said: “We never encourage violence of any nature. After all, there’s enough violence going on in these clinics.”

    Sophist drivel.

While I am no fan of abortion (who really is–I get damned tired of the label “pro-abortion”) I also am able to look at the facts–that making abortion illegal does not cut down on the number of abortions performed, only the safety of the procedure.

And speaking of facts, the right-to-lifers are actually cutting off their own noses to spite their faces when they rally (either politically, or with terrorist acts) to shut down the operations of Planned Parenthood clinics. Since most (over 99%) of their services are non-abortion, women’s health services, including BIRTH CONTROL, right-to-lifers are actually increasing the demand for abortions with these kinds of actions. Since Planned Parenthood also provides health services to women who may not find these services anywhere else, right-to-lifers are potentially harming the health of “fetuses” in their 216th+ month of life. Same is true in their rigid demand for “abstinence only education,” which is correlated with higher teen pregnancy and STD rates. Pro-life indeed.

But, or course, one can not be distracted by facts when carrying out a mission from Gawd.

On a related note, here’s a fun article from a few years ago that was much overlooked.

“In the 10 years since the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing killed 168 people, roughly 60 right-wing terrorist plots have been uncovered in the United States,”
