Commentary, news, and rants on the evils and stupidity of belief in the big invisible daddy in the sky. Illuminating and watchdogging the widespread attempts to institutionalize the theocratic rule of the US. Making fun of believers everywhere.

I let Mark's comment through moderation last night after I was done getting rid of all those funky symbols in my post. I thought some of you guys would have fun with him. ;-) I clicked on his name and read through the atheism screed at Constupidpedia. It's amazing, the lies they tell themselves. Well, I guess not amazing, considering their other delusions, but the stuff on Constipatedpedia can be fact-checked.

Note...I also like RDZ's #19 comment RE Mark's little visit.
Here's my (blabbing) comment which didn't quite make it through early this morning...[Firefox crash?...ca. 1:23AM CDT] Better late than never?
Hey it's Thursday...time for a bit of silliness.
[ala Zero Mostel in "The Producers":...
"Thursday...Thursday...We'll fool around on Thursday!"
Or...(spilling & wiping coffee on the window)
"Flaunt it, baby...flaunt it...When ya got it...Flaunt it!"
OK, OK...my 'crashed' comment, already!:
"Wow...
Fundie troll, Mark Hanson, pokes his Bible indoctrinated nose into our midst to sneak in a remote connection with Karen's Post to the ridiculous Atheist page reference of that oh-so "Trustworthy Encyclopedia" called "Conservapedia".
Yeah conserving the same old doctrinal, delusionally based lies about so many bogus items; all of which have been thoroughly debunked many times over by the likes of Dennett, Hitchens, Dawkins, and a host of other, even much older, historical scholars. Of course, the religious types never stray beyond the borders of their self-imposed doctrinal prisons of the mind. As we former indoctrinated mental prisoners know (Escapees?); it takes real guts, and significantly independent thought, to face one's fears regarding the all pervasive, "Universal Unknowns".
The Truth is MUCH stranger than the childlike, albeit mean spirited, fictions that were dreamed up by such totally ignorant, relatively uneducated, totally oblivious to anything scientific, Bronze Age morons.

It's against my better judgment to even begin commenting on this same, perennial old crap; but here are just a few ideas...
I, like most GifSters, was thoroughly 'raised' and most carefully indoctrinated with all the usual false assumptions of literal Christianity (in my case the RCC version); and I've spent the greater part of MY 68 years of life in and out of many other Cosmological notions; none of which ever even came close to proving...i.e...with any actual, scientific, or archeological evidence...any of the completely inane assumptions contained in those same old anecdotal, questionable "stories" called "Gospels". It's all, basically, variations on extremely old borrowed, or even stolen, older Mythologies! Included, of course, are those lovely doctrines RE the also insane and totally unjust notions of Eternal damnation...Yeah...basically, for someone else's sins...two boneheads in an asinine garden...(one of our fav subjects here at GifS), idiotic 'choirs' of boring, numbnut, sycophantic "Angels", various risen from the dead bodies floating up where there ain't no air...those two completely interdependent old buddies: Jeebus & Satan, playing games fooling us poor mortals...and that same scapegoat jerk, aka Satan, actually being ALLOWED to plague us poor, naive, little earthlings with such undetected, nasty, deceptive tricks...yada, yada.
So much outrageous, made-up, stupid nonsense!
As Chris Hitchens points out: "Religion poisons everything!" Starting with young minds!
And, I contend, totally "Faith-based" believers simply "can't handle the truth!"
Yeah...bottom line...the so-called "Trustworthy Encyclopedia"...Conservapedia (ConSLAVEapedia, ConTRIVEapedia?)...is about as trustworthy, I'd say, as the Bush Administration is, regarding the Constitutionality of "water-boarding".
Come to think of it; just reading that steaming pile of lying crap about atheism made me feel as if I WAS being mentally water-boarded...by a bunch of totally brainwashed...
Christian Nazis!
Yeah...yet AGAIN...the same old Zama, zama!"

So there!!!

Ain't it the truth!

conservapedia is probably what Lauren uses for all of her resources at her "Classic Christian(TM)" school .

If you ever need to know what crazy looks like in print, it always comes accompanied by a link to conservapedia- the site started by those who couldn't stomach the sheer reality of wikipedia. It's kind of like that Second Life thing but with meat.

Putting on a welder's faceplate to shield me from the sheer stupid burning in those parts, I ventured to the link provided by drive-by spammer, Mark "The Fourth Brother" Hanson. It's an interminably long screed with a batch of pitiful, thoroughly debunked arguments and a list of citations that resembles the classified ads from the Weekly World News. Thanks, Mark, and that's a fetching tinfoil trucker's hat you're wearing.

The life first came about in ice is just not credible. Even Crick has expressed grave doubts about the notion of life coming about naturally on earth. Historically, atheists have embraced a lot of implausible and errant ideas such as communism, an eternal universe, etc. In addition, atheists have not done very well in public debates as can be seen here: http://www.conservapedia.com/Atheism
