More Good Stuff

28 December 2008 by Bob

I just saw this over at Pharyngula, and I’ve always had a soft spot for that good poetry-slam shit. And this stuff’s awesome. (This particular piece, for some reason, reminds me of Tom Lehrer — but that’s just me.)

I’ll admit, the audio is awful — but the audio with the text provided should suffice…

I like that too that was really quite good.
    Isn’t this enough?

  2. Nico T:

I think I teared up a little toward the end there. Wow. That was absolutely fantastic.

  3. Hoffy:

Absolutely hilarious and we have all wanted to throttle a STORM I’m sure, life is awesome without having to invent all these lies, as Jimmer said….Isn’t this enough??????????????????????

    TIM MINCHIN!
I love the way information travels on the internet. Particularly when it’s interesting yet non-critical info. If I wasn’t such a lazy bastard, I’d have been posting links to his youtubes everywhere for months already. I think I first saw a video at stupidevilbastard.com, and now, months later, Pharyngula and GIFS in one day!

I don’t usually rant on like a fanboy, but Tim Minchin is the shit. Do yourself a favor and search youtube.
Even his songs that aren’t about religion or skepticism are pretty good, a few of them get a little sappy, but still funny. I’ll offer a few of my favorites as suggestions- “If You Open Your Mind Too Much, Your Brain Will Fall Out”, “Ten Foot Cock and a Few Hundred Virgins”, “Dark Side”, and “Mitsubishi Colt”.

Good shit. I’m too lazy to put in links…most of the best performances are from his “So Live” dvd…just search Tim Minchin and enjoy!

Oh yeah, one more…”Peace Anthem for Palestine”…still makes me giggle…

OH man, the video has been removed by user! Boo hiss. Maybe there is another one? If anyone finds another one let us know.

Too bad you missed it Stardust; it was fantastic. I didn’t catch it here, but at PZ’s Playhouse. I am now an ardent Tim Minchin fan!

  7. Stardust:

Someone else posted it. Here’s the link:

    Tim Minchin - Storm

  8. Bob:

Thanks, Star. I fixed the link.

  9. John Marley:

That one has been removed, too

  10. John Marley:

It’s currently available here, but who knows for how long.

  11. Stardust:

Wow, they removed that rather quickly. The other one will probably disappear soon, also.
