Fucking Idiot Update
12 March 2009 by Bob
Ah, yes, the fucking idiots just keep getting better and better…
Vatican defends abortion expulsions
Doctors said they decided to terminate the pregnancy because the girl’s life was in danger due to her young age, and because she was carrying twins. But Sobrinho, the archbishop of Olinda and Recife, in declaring the excommunication, said the abortion went against “the law of God”. The stepfather was not excommunicated because the church said that his action, although deplorable, was not as bad as ending the life of an unborn child. “It is clear that he committed a very serious sin, but worse than this is the abortion,” Sobrinho said.
Wow, what as fucker-sexist-prick…
Now for the rant: I’ll never understand religious people, but specifically religious women. I’ll never understand catholics, but specifically catholic women. I mean, it’s like gay ‘publicans. I just don’t get it.
And if some idiot told me that my daughter’s abortion was worse than her being raped, I think I’d rip his heart out of his chest and feed it to him before he hit the floor.
(Hypothetically, of course…)
“Hey, why are you atheists so angry?” Oh, I don’t know, dipshit. Take a wild guess…

It is incidents like this that reveal religion (RCC specifically in this case) as the morally bankrupt institutions they are.
Saving a child’s life is a worse sin than raping a child.
Fucktards.

How can I go about getting excommunicated?
I work as a pharmacist in a free-clinic and have dispensed morning-after pills on numerous occasions. That must be an excommunicatable offence. (Is that a word?)
Wouldn’t it be great to have an excommunication decree framed on my office wall!

Hgarm
That would be great. You do need to be Catholic first though. If you are on a first name basis with any priests in your area you might ask if you can make a donation to get an excommunication Cert. They will take money for anything.
The church doesn’t dare make a claim that rape is a bad thing. Think of all the priests who have raped children and you’ll know why. The church would need to treat their own priests the way they treat rapists.

So, the list of reasons Catholics don’t get to claim the moral high ground has grown. Again. I wish I could be surprised by this.

So they don’t give a shit about the damage done to a nine-year-old child? Unfuckingbelievable. The babies most likely would not have survived anyway, and they may have also taken the life of the girl who was impregnated against her will. This ancient type of thinking illustrates why there were so many stories of virgin birth back in those times. No one gives a shit about the woman or young girl or child who is raped. They side with the rapist, and the catholic church is keeping up with the ignorant asinine mythology of ages lost past.

Isn’t this what the compromise is? Abortion only if the mother’s health is threatened or in the case of rape or incest? Well didn’t all three just fucking happen?!
If she hadn’t gotten the abortion, they would’ve been in a win/win situation. Either they would’ve won and exerted undue control over another person and government, or she would’ve died and they would’ve had two new babies to indoctrinate.
And yes, I would love to hear why a child rape is not as bad as abortion. I bet the correct answer is: Because what’s good for the priest is good for the layman.

A Catholic friend of mine once said “Even if you aren’t Catholic, you gotta respect the Pope.”
I said, “Oh yeah? Why?”
We weren’t friends after that.
He’d seemed pretty rational up to that point, too.

As I see it, this all goes back to the RCC’s Dogmatic “Infallibility” claim. Once a pronouncement has been made on anything related to Morality…”Ex Cathedra” [from the throne...of "Peter"...or the Pope]…change becomes, practically speaking…impossible. They absolutely can’t admit any mistake. Another obvious example of that would be how long it took the Church to apologize for the Galileo debacle. What “ball twisting” that was for the medieval, cleric idiots!
I’ve commented many times on GifS RE something which is right under everyone’s nose…VERY common MISCARRIAGES…which now, that there’s no longer any existential “Limbo” [according to a somewhat recent Church ruling], how does the Church explain what would, certainly now, necessarily fall under the guise of “God’s abortions”?
Notice…not a whisper! At least, that I can detect.
The religious; in the Modern Age of Science and Reason, have all become totally anachronistic…blind…essentially mindless and tone-deaf..hypocrites!
All extreme Right Wing-nut religions, for that matter, are now hopelessly mired in their totally irrational, dogmatic bullshit; but the RCC, having rigidly caste itself with the age-old Papal “Bull”, is…WAY…WAY…much more obviously tangled in hopeless “obfuscation”.
There’s a word. Yeah…that’d be…
EXTREMELY Dark Brown…way too deep even for hip-boots…
Total…unadulterated…putrid…(”harder than a carp…and un-scrapeable”?)
SHIT!
“Ah…the smell of it!”
[Blech!]

I tried to find out how to become officially apostate (which would, I believe, entail being excommunicated) through the archdiocese of Chicago and no one would tell me! I wrote to the bishop, I wrote to the (fucktard) cardinal, I talked to a priest, I called the diocese offices several times. No one would ever get back to me.
Apparently the RCC is so hard up fornew parishoners that they will NOT let even the old ones get away!

Hmm. Thrown out of a hate-filled destructive church by a delusional guy in a fish hat. Sounds like a life improvement to me. Besides, there are plenty of other nutty religious organizations to join.

In all fairness to Catholics, the bible doesn’t condone abortion, but it does condone incest and rape.
Remember, Christians are moral people, really, I heard a guy say it once.
I really just can’t get over this. Ah well, fuel for the fire next time missionaries show up at my door.

Oh really?…or maybe…O’Reilly?
One more once?…Something relevant?…
I don’t know how many times I’ve linked this article; but I think it sums up a whole lot on the subject. It’s the old story (”Cherry picking”?) of Xtians NOT knowing what the hell is in their oh-so-precious Babbles. OR…
claiming something that really ISN’T there! [So much for total fucking insanity!]
at Freedom From Religion Foundation:
“What Does The Bible Say About Abortion?”
http://ffrf.org/nontracts/abortion.php
[a personal 'Fav' for passing on to any still communicating relatives & (soon to be former) friends?]
And the Catholic Church [which I was 'raised' in] has always claimed prime responsibility for the (4th Century?…at the Third Council of Carthage in 397) original “official” assembly of the (ever-so-contradictory) “New Testicle”!
The “update”, for Catholics, being the (1582) Douay-Rheims Bible…
[or is it more like the Don't-aye? version...or "Wood-eye?" (old joke!)]
See:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douay-Rheims_Bible
Of course, we all know how controversial all this shit is…like…
Protestant babble vs. Catholic vs. Eastern Ortho-cock vs. “WTF!”
[I don't know about youse guys...that'd be all you "Young'ns"..."but at age 69 (nice #, huh?) I'm really getting fucking tired of all the bullshit arguing! Yeah...The old, insane, Merry-go-round of human absurdity.]

Hey John,
I know how you feel.
I have had similar reactions – particularly when I mention to my RC relations that everything that Pope Ratzo says and stands for is nothing but a pack of outrageous goddam lies. We can get all pissed off about which sin is worse from the RC perspective but we have to keep in mind that the ultimate sin is not to fuck with the fairy tale and the cash flow.

RCC – Reality Challenged Church.
13 March 2009, on 5:07 pm
How, I repeat, how, can any church that is composed of humans, call this right? How can anybody say this is OK? I read of women being stoned in Saudi Arabia, men killing children in Darfur, but this is supposedlay the Catholic Church AFTER the Enlightenment, AFTER we all knew the earth went around the sun.
Oh, hang on a minute. These people, making decisions about women, children and other men, they ARE men, right? I mean really, could this church hate women any more than they do? Don’t mistake my meaning, they like little boys, just not woomen.
I was raised catholic, and I despise the brainwashing they perfected hundreds of years ago. Someone in my family once said to me (I paint and love music) ‘Look at all the great works of art achieved by the church”. My reply: I’d destroy every single one for the life of one single person killed as a witch, a heretic, possessed, black, yellow, whatever the changing criteria of that church. And I still would.
That 9 year old child is worth more than every single inhabitant of the Vatican, or Mecca, or Llasa or any other holy place/organisation, because she was innocent.
I reserve special animosity for the catholic church, mainly because it leaves celibate, unmarried men in charge of our youngsters. It’s just not right.
Nothing in our ’so-called’ spiritual life is worth what that child went through. And I challenge anyone to prove me wrong.

Jacques, this makes me think about all the wonderful masterpieces that might have been created by free thinkers had the church not been around to stifle and restrict the freedoms of artists. History only tells us what was, not what could have been. I’m sure you find as irritating as I do the arrogance of believers about what was accomplished by the church. We must not forget, as well, about the great works of art that have been destroyed by the believers of various religions over the centuries.

If excommunication means that the mother and doctors will no longer be subject to the lunacies of the RC church then they have been rewarded for their actions. The rapist deserves execution. The archbishop needs to have his brain excised.
