Using 10-year-old to promote delusional agenda

3 July 2009 by Stardust

Instead of explaining this dream rationally to this child, the parent is using the child’s own nightmare to reinforce delusional religious beliefs. The father in this video is saying that Jesus Christ showed a vision of hell to his 10-year old son. Kids are very impressionable and I have to wonder how much this child was told about Hell before having nightmares about it. Rationally, the son’s nightmare is a manifestation of some sort and used the imagery he was previously taught for added details of the “dream”. The father is using his own son to promote his own agenda. Pathetic.

What a whackjob that father is. Poor kid! He’s gonna have that “Hell” image in his head his whole life now. With dreams mostly being reflections of things and ideas that have happened in your life, or that you have heard from others, this just goes to show how much his dad (if not his mother and church also!) is drilling all this Hell bullshit in. He must hear stories at least once a week to get such a vivid dream as that! If not, he’s at least thinking of it way too much than should be healthy for a 10-year-old!

Although on a different note, I find it interesting how the father points out- You don’t have to be a good person to get into heaven, you just have to b’leeve! Because Jeebus doesn’t care if you murdered 20 people in cold blood- as long as you praised his name as you slit their throats, everything’s just dandy! Hooray!

Wondering how this kid is going to turn out, huh?

I was watching the kid closely when talking and it’s almost as if he is memorizing a drill. You would think that someone who really believed what they were saying, even a kid, would be more animated than that.

In many ways, this sad example, among so many others, of manipulated sadism reminds me of my own childhood upbringing as a brainwashed Catholic kid. Some of my earliest memories of schooling by the nuns (”Black Veiled Monsters”) was the emphasis on Sin, Guilt, and Punishment. It’s not really surprising that that is the case. The basic “raison d’etre”, after all, of Western religion is based on those three words. A sort of tri-part “Trinity Reflection”, if you will…at least in the Xtian version.

What monstrous, Sado-Masochistic viciousness was invented and perpetrated on the World with the writing and assembling of such totally outrageous ideological tyranny contained in the Bible and Q’uran. The terrible fear and guilt inculcated in countless young minds since their advent; by such ignorant, arrogant, deviant, and no doubt, mentally ill culprits, strains to the max…the credulity of anyone with even half a rationally functioning 21st Century brain. It’s really no wonder that human history is literally filled with such mind-boggling cruelty and insanity, when the basic idea of so-called “Godly Creation” is magically attributed to such an incredible Monster as that portrayed in the various dreamed up notions of the blatantly Psychopathic, Abrahamic “God”.
The whole insane Abrahamic tale can be summed up, IMO, in one…
    OK…make it two…
    NO, THREE!
    (thwang!…off the ‘Python’ bridge?)…words…
    Absolute Fucking Bullshit!

    I love you son.

    Thanks dad.

But I need you to do something for me……..

Hasn’t this been a pattern forever?

    idiot dad

Um, hey kid. That “vision” you had is what other parents call “a nightmare.” If your father’s thinking wasn’t so addled by the misbegotten tribalism of nomadic desert goat herders from 3000 years ago, he would have told you the same, comforted you, and beseeched you to “go back to sleep: everything will be O.K.”

Ah, child exploitation. Aint it cute?

“I was watching the kid closely when talking and it’s almost as if he is memorizing a drill.”

Yeah, Stardust–his “recollection” of that “vision” does seem oddly like something read off of a cue card.

  7. Bronze Dog:

This is one of those things where I’m too sickened with the mere thought to endure watching the video. Hell and similar counterparts have got to be the most evil, perverted concept humanity has ever dreamed up.

  8. karen:

Ugh. Um yeah, kiddo, what you had is a nightmare reflecting what your folks are shoveling into your young, open mind. “Hyell” (ach-p-tooey!) isn’t any more real than the “facts” your pop is spewing. I remember having similar nightmares when I was a kid. In mine, the devil always chased me around with his pitchfork, trying to catch me and take me to hell, which was always in sight.

More evidence of the “get ‘em while they’re young” philosophy.

    Downright sad.

And sleazy for tape-recording it and posting it on the internet. Fucktard.

  10. Tracy:

I remember vividly a nightmare where my gumby toy became life sized and carried me down the street. OH NO!

    GUMBY IS SATAN!

  11. Tracy:

I remembered another dream from my “fundie years.” I got to see a vision of heaven but it looked like an old lower-middle class neighborhood. I was disapointed, but I tried to tell myself, “I guess it’s OK, at least the rent is free.”
It must be true, I dreamt it.
